| Description: | Ben and Dusty from "Bread of Stone" ordered this custom 4 pc after seeing the finish on the Micro Bop bass pictured in this Gallery. However, they really wanted that “old school” look. I picked some birch faced, lamm grade shells with lots of flaws and character and mixed a batch of Red Mahogany stain with a touch of natural Red Oak oil to darken it up. When i'd finished, the set looked like it fell out of a time capsule. It reminded me (and several visitor to the shop) of an old, pre WWII Leady or Gretch set. I couldn’t have been happier with this finish. |
